Our courses

Construction training courses in Hampshire

Plant tickets, streetworks qualifications, NVQ assessments and site safety courses — all accredited, all taught by people who have worked in the industry, and all available on your site or at our Eastleigh facility.

What KOPLANT offer

Training built around the work, not the classroom

Whether you are starting out, adding a category, converting a red card to blue or putting a whole gang through renewals before a contract starts, our courses are practical, hands-on and designed to fit around a live job. We train individuals, small firms and principal contractors right across Hampshire.

Not sure which route applies to you? Call the team before you book. We would rather spend ten minutes getting it right than sell you a course you did not need.

Delivery options

At your site. Train on your own plant, in your own conditions, with minimal production loss.

At our centre. Facilities at Eastleigh in Hampshire and Blandford in Dorset, away from a live job.

Our main training routes

NPORS Plant Training

NPORS training and testing delivered on your own site or at our centre, covering excavators, dumpers, rollers, telehandlers, MEWPs and more. Novice, experienced-worker and refresher routes are all available, and NPORS cards can be issued with CSCS logo where you meet the health, safety and environment test requirement.

CPCS Training

Our instructors hold CPCS certification, so we can prepare you for the technical tests behind the CPCS Trained Operator (red) card and support your route through to the Competent Operator (blue) card. Ideal for operators on major contractor sites where CPCS is written into the site rules.

NVQ Assessments

Construction NVQs from Level 2 plant operations through to Level 6 contracting operations management. Assessment is evidence-led and built around the work you already do on site, so there is minimal classroom time. This is the qualification you need to convert a CPCS red trained-operator card into a blue competent-operator card.

What the training looks like

Every course is built around real machines and real site conditions, whether we come to you or you come to our Eastleigh facility.

NVQ assessments

Red card to blue card, assessed on site

A CPCS Trained Operator (red) card is a stepping stone, not a destination — and it expires. To hold a Competent Operator (blue) card you need the matching NVQ, and that NVQ is assessed almost entirely through the work you already do.

Your assessor agrees the evidence with you up front, visits you on site, and builds the portfolio around live tasks. There is no need to take weeks out to sit in a classroom. Start it while your red card is still valid and the transition is seamless.
